Summer Blues

We decided to have some fun the last day of school.  We took Belle and a friend out for lunch and ice cream.

Fun times!  After lunch we went back to the house and and the girls were playing on the trampoline. Belle landed funny and rolled her ankle.  It started swelling pretty good on both sides.  So Aaron loaded Belle and her friend up and off they went to the doctor.  They took some x-rays and it was just sprained good, and left a good bruise.
Summer Break Day 2: It's got to be better right? You can see the ankle all wrapped up. Notice anything else?  Belle has an ice pack on her back. She went out on the deck and was stung by a hornet. I couldn't believe it. I felt so bad for Belle. I think she was ready for school to start again. It left quite a mark on her.
All has been quiet until today. Belle started screaming bloody murder. She realized she was standing on an ant hill.  Instead of running off it, she panicked and stood there while they swarmed her. Aaron grabbed her off it and rolled her in the grass and was swatting them off. I think she was traumatized by the whole experience and she cried, and cried. I really hope that her summer starts looking up. Here is a picture of a fun memory this summer....

Oh Belle, that's a rough start to summer. I hope you stole those bowling shoes, that would make me feel better!

Oh, that poor kid. I hope that the rest of your summer will be uneventful. In the mean time just wrap her in bubble wrap :)

Wow, Belle has had a rough time, but things will look up now because things run in 3's and she has had her 3 mishaps already. Also, love those bowling shoes AND the mural making it look like you are throwing your ball into outerspace. Have a fun summer!

Hey Kenz---did you sport your old bowling shoes??? If I remember right, yours weren't quite as fancy as your kids' shoes, maybe you ought to try those on for size too---eh??
